Recovery Housing Program
Louisiana provides stable, transitional housing for individuals in recovery from a substance use disorder. The Recovery Housing Program supports individuals on a path to self-sufficiency and independent living. Research shows that stable housing is an important part of recovery. Without it, individuals are more likely to relapse and struggle to maintain sobriety. The program provides housing support for up to two years or until an individual moves into permanent housing, whichever occurs first.
Individuals seeking treatment or recovery housing services are encouraged to visit findtreatment.gov, which offers a directory of state-licensed providers specializing in substance use disorders, addiction and mental health treatment.
